Gift yourself a 100% unique tee.
Have you ever made yourself a shirt that is 100% unique in the world? This is the chance to tick the bucket list!
The term “tie and dye” is self-explanatory, you tie fabric and then dye it. It’s a resist-dyeing technique in which the sections you don’t want to be dyed are blocked with various tying methods before the fabric is dyed; the areas that are tied stay undyed, resulting in lovely patterns.
By expressing different artistic styles onto blank T-shirts, our workshop encourages team members to think creatively and acknowledge different perspectives. By painting or brainstorming design ideas together, team members are also encouraged to see past each other’s differences to arrive at a common and collective idea. Most importantly, spending quality bonding time together in our T-shirt painting workshop sessions will also increase the chemistry within the team by having fun as a group.
You will be given a blank shirt to work on, similar to an art canvas but instead of hanging your masterpiece, you will be wearing it! Learn all about t-shirt painting – from how to utilize the art materials to designing your own t-shirts! No prior experience is required as it will be a guided hands-on session.
By joining our T-shirt painting workshop, you will get to wear your own artwork! How cool is that? Suitable for participants of all ages including children to senior adults, our T-shirt painting workshop is a good way to relieve stress, mingle with your friends and work your creative mind!
It is a great way to teach hands-on skills as it gives learners an opportunity to try out new methods and fail in a safe environment.
Tie-dye is a process of tying a dyeing fabric into patterns. The fabric is usually cotton though other fabrics such as silk can be used. The fabric is folded into a pattern and bound with strings and rubber bands. The dyes are applied to different sections of the wet material, the material is rinsed, and the material dried. T-shirts are frequently used for tie-dyeing.
Wash your tie-dye products the same way you would wash your other new clothes! The dye will bleed the same way it would any other product of the same fabric and colors. However, we recommend washing them on COLD and transferring them directly from the washer to the dryer after they are finished washing.
The factors affecting how long a tie-dye shirt will last include the weight of the shirt used, the dyes used, how rough you treat the shirt, and how you wash the shirt. With cold machine washing and reasonable care, a heavy-weight tie dye shirt will last years. A lightweight shirt that does not hold as much dye, will not last long.
