Lesson Outline : Find the sewing machine intimidating? So did we! Till we got our hands on a modern sewing machine. Since then, we can’t stop sewing! This workshop will get you acquainted with a computerised sewing machine and teach you how to set one up and operate it in just an hour.
What is included in the lesson fees :All materials and tools needed, and a coffee / tea
You will learn how to:
Use the right needle size
Fill a bobbin
Thread a machine
Sew a straight line and turn corners
Adjust stitch length and needle position
Try out decorative stitches

This class is a starting point for someone completely new to sewing or someone who needs a refresher after a long break from sewing.
If you have your own machine and need help figuring out, you can contact us for a private class where you can bring your own machine.
Maker's Habitat is a creative space that hosts sewing and craft workshops for adults and children in a bright and cheerful setting in Plaza Damas, Kuala Lumpur. It is run by childhood friends and sewing instructors Ching and Eileen, who believe in the power and happiness of creating good things with our very own two hands. Our uniquely-designed workshops make it easy for anyone to learn how to sew - you don't need any experience! Sewing is great activity for both kids and adults as it harnesses their creativity and produces a deep sense of accomplishment of making something from scratch.
