Lesson Outline : Decoupage is the art of decorating an object by gluing colored paper cut-outs with combination of special paint effects, gold leaf and other decorative elements. Commonly, an object like a small box or an item of furniture is covered by cutouts from magazines or from purpose-manufactured papers. Each layer is sealed with varnishes (often multiple coats) until the “stuck on” appearance disappears and the result looks like painting or inlay work.
The Workshop consists of :-
Decoupage with imported adhesive rice paper on 45cm X 45cm Canvas
What is included in the lesson fees : All material included. All participant will bring home an Art piece of Canvas
What is not included in the lesson fees : Tools. Students may buy on the spot or may use tools provided by us.
Mira Chong is a qualified decoupage artist and teacher, who obtained her Certificate of Distinction in Decoupage in 2015 from a prestigious art school in Bangkok, Thailand. After teaching for several years, Mira travelled to TO-DO Creative Art School in Brescia, Italy to further enhance her decoupage skill and techniques and was conferred "Certified Decoupage Teacher", FIRST and ONLY conferred to a Malaysian. Her students consists of children as young as 6 years old to teenagers and adults. She conducts both individual and group classes. Beside teaching decoupage as leisure activities, Mira train students who aspire to be Decoupage teachers through her TO-DO International Decoupage Teacher's Courses. Mira believe that every piece of work is personal, uniquely handmade and nothing will go to waste.
