Lesson Outline : Curious about what it takes to make your own clothes? Whether you’re a total newbie to sewing or a beginner looking to refresh your skills, this skirt workshop is a good place to start! You’ll be taking your own measurement and learning to draft on fabric. You’ll learn how to hem a skirt and insert an elastic waist band, which works for alterations too! The formula of this versatile skirt can be easily made for yourself, kids and loved ones.

NOTE: To attend this class you will need basic sewing experience and be able to make simple projects such as bags and pouches. If you don’t, you can join our Super Starters workshop.
Maker's Habitat is a creative space that hosts sewing and craft workshops for adults and children in a bright and cheerful setting in Plaza Damas, Kuala Lumpur. It is run by childhood friends and sewing instructors Ching and Eileen, who believe in the power and happiness of creating good things with our very own two hands. Our uniquely-designed workshops make it easy for anyone to learn how to sew - you don't need any experience! Sewing is great activity for both kids and adults as it harnesses their creativity and produces a deep sense of accomplishment of making something from scratch.
